Using proven technology used in Europe for over 20 years, the cordless Laser Pro Scalp Stimulator Brush uses photobiostimulation technology to promote hair restoration by using low level laser therapy (LLLT). Photobiostimulation uses light energy to promote the regeneration of cells and tissues and LLLT harmlessly penetrates the skin tissue to promote hair growth. Scientific research shows that the 650 nanometer wavelength of light generated by the Scalp Brush's diodes helps to stimulate and increase blood circulation to supply more oxygen and nutrients to hair follicles and ultimately improves skin tissue repair leading to hair growth.
The Laser Pro Scalp Stimulator Brush helps to normalize the production of scalp sebum and thus, reduce excess levels of scalp dihydrotestorone (DHT). It also reduces inflammatory lymphocytic infiltrate around the hair follicles, which has been suspected to cause alopecia areata, and its anti-inflammatory effect makes it an excellent tool for patients experiencing psoriasis, eczema, seborrhoeic dermatitis, neurodermatitis and other autoimmune conditions affecting the hair and scalp. The technology was FDA-approved in 2002.
How it works:
- Laser: Laser light therapy stimulates the blood supply to the scalp. The additional supply of blood brings essential oxygen and nutrients to the scalp area. In stimulating the scalp and promotes blood circulation, it helps to create a healthy environment for hair to grow. Hair may appear thicker, fuller and healthier.
- Infrared Therapy: Activates cells and promotes metabolism, removing dead cells and promoting production of new ones.
- Impulse: In the treatment hair-loss, impulse can have a profound effect. It generates micro-electricity to activate cells and hair follicles.
- Stylist's tip: Use the Laser Hair Brush after shampooing, conditioning and drying the scalp. With the laser on, hold the laser brush flat on your scalp and hold it in place for 12-15 seconds. Then move it a half inch over and hold it in place for another 12-15 seconds. Keep repeating this procedure until the entire scalp treatment area has been treated. Move the laser brush against the direction of hair growth. When using with long hair, use a regular brush/comb to lift the hair and clear a path for the laser brush so that the lasers can saturate the scalp area with light. The entire therapy session takes 5-15 minutes and should not be done more than three times a week. After the session, you can apply topical treatments like hair gels and sprays (never put on before therapy).
- Safety Cautions: Do not stare directly into the laser light or shine the light near or around your eyes. Do not stare directly into the laser light's reflection. Never shine the laser light at anyone. Keep out of the reach of children—minors should never handle the laser brush. Some studies seem to indicate that if you use laser therapy too often, (ie. daily) you will over-stimulate cells and the opposite effect may occur.
